The design of the ONYX binding is focused on the best combination of lightweight, high performance, and usability. We stayed true to our commitment to lightweight by designing an enhanced Tech system toe attachment that provides a rigid and secure boot interface, an easy step-in experience, and a high level of retention. We then added a heel mechanism that shifts fore and aft to allow for an easy switch between ski and tour mode without having to release the boot from the binding. Finally, we added an easy to adjust mounting plate system so that one mount fits multiple boot sizes

If you want the unsurpassed up-hill freedom of a tech binding but aren't willing to sacrifice as much on the decent, G3 built the Onyx for you. The G3 Onyx Alpine Touring Ski Bindings were built to combine the low weights of tech bindings with the ease of use and downhill performance that are often the selling points for non-purists. G3 designed the toe piece to reduce pre-releases, securing your boot in the tourquey-est of situations, while the toe-lever is easier to activate, making the step-in process and switching between tour and ski mode a breeze. The heel piece was also designed for ease of use, with pole-actuated high and low risers for easy adjustment mid-skin track and the ability to switch between ski and tour modes on the fly. Add in an adjustable base plate mounting system and a super-strong forged aerospace aluminum and fiber reinforced chassis, and you've got a binding that's ready to take on anything from week-long tours to lift-served slackcountry.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
The adjustable base mounting system in the heel and toe offers 33 mm of quick adjustment for multiple boot size fittings and maintenance of boot center mounting.
